Photobiomodulation therapy is a nonthermal light therapy with therapeutic properties for pain and in- flammation relief, immune modulation, and tissue regeneration. Our goal was to provide a comprehensive overview of photobiomodulation therapy for oral lesions using visual mapping techniques. We used VOS- Viewer to analyze publications in the “photobiomodulation” and “oral lesion” categories from PubMed, Scopus, and Dimension AI databases, allowing us to track author contributions, journal, institutional af- filiations, and contributions by country. A total of 373 publications from 1991 to 2022 were gathered.
